Mistborn: The Final Empire

I’ve been recommended the Mistborn series a few times and am familiar with the writing machine that is Brandon Sanderson. So, I finally gave the first book a try and found it fun and cinematic. The Allomancy and Feruchemy magic systems were interesting and novel. I was surprised to find that part of the story was essentially a fantasy heist.
